This little piggie

Yarnbombing. It’s the sport of choice for knitters who are secretly ninjas. Or visa versa. The term ‘yarnbombing’ covers everything from a simple knitted tag on a lamp post, to elaborate sculptural work –  it’s just like graffitti, only fuzzier and way easier to remove. Whether you favour subterfuge in the dead of night, or the barefaced, broad-daylight, stitch-and-run-like-hell approach, yarnbombing is full of adrenaline-y goodness.

That’s really all I’m going to say right now, because I have pictures instead.

This little piggie is called Oliver, and he lives in Rundle Mall. With the mad Ninja Skills of several Anonymous Crafternooners, Oliver was rendered stylish with wristwarmers and a tail warmer. They will not last for very long, of course. (I’m pretty sure the Adelaide City Council has anti-Ninjas on its cleanup staff.) Still worth it. Completely.

EDIT #1 – 16 hours later, still there!

EDIT #2 – 48 hours later, well and truly gone. Ah well… out, out brief candle…
